Panadol

  • Panadol can be used for:
    • mild to moderate pain
    • fever
  • Paracetamol is the generic name, where as Panadol is brand name
  • In some countries it is known as acetaminophen
  • It comes in a variety of formulations such as tablets, caplets, capsules, suppositories
  • Many products and formulations contain paracetamol, it is important not to exceeded the maximum daily dose.  Consult you doctor or pharmacist for more information
  • Paracetamol is generally well tolerated.  If maximum dose is exceeded, liver damage can result.
  • Speak to your doctor or pharmacist if symptoms persist
