Who is a Registrar?
A registrar is a doctor who is in training to become a specialist doctor. For example, an orthopaedic registrar is a doctor who is training to become an orthopaedic surgeon.
A registrar has completed their internship and resident years, and is a senior member fo the Orthopaedic Team.
their 2nd - 4th year of clinical practice as a doctor. They have already completed their internship and are very experienced at looking after patients on the ward.
A registrar works closely with the Orthopaedic Surgeon to diagnose and treat your orthopaedic condition or injury. They are usually involved with your surgery and are a central member in coordinating your care, in and out of hospital.
